One of the largest districts for contemporary art and culture in the world, located in Museumsplatz Vienna, presenting a mix of baroque and contemporary. The complex encompasses 60 cultural institutions covering fine art, architecture, music, fashion, theater, dance, literature, design, photography, street art, and children’s culture.
Entering the MuseumsQuartier through the Main Entrance in the Fischer von Erlach Wing, visitors encounter the main courtyard designed to enjoy the unique furniture, and the numerous cafes, and restaurants. Around the courtyard are the former Winter Riding Hall, the performance and event venue, the new Kunsthalle Wien, and to either side, the Leopold Museum, home to one of the largest collections of modern Austrian art.
Part of the complex is the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK), home to more than 10,000 contemporary and modern arts items by renowned artists such as  Picasso and Warhol. The Museum Quarter is the venue of the popular summer Vienna Festival (Wiener Festwochen), and the Tanzquartier, dance center, studios, and galleries.
