A wildlife resort, 18 km west of Lucca, offering a network of boardwalks over the marshland at the edge of Massaciuccoli Lake. While walking, enjoy the diverse bird population and the typical local flora existing in the shallow water. Visit the small museum with exhibits related to the park. Within walking distance from the lake, visit the remains of a Roman villa with a Roman thermal bath and a remarkable mosaic tiled floor. From Lake Massaciuccoli you can continue 18 km north, for leisure time in a sandy Tuscany beach, in either Versilia’s Lido di Camoire, or in Viareggio, both with all the beach facilities, restaurants and cafes.
