Nearby explore the 2nd century BC restored Roman Odeon amphitheater, which could hold 750 people and is still active for concerts, and the Casa Romana, a beautiful 2nd century, 36 rooms restored villa, including beautiful atrium, impressive columns, statues, frescoes, and a display of various vessels, artifacts and coins.
  • Visit the Medieval Nerantzia castle built by the Knights of Saint John in the 14th century, at the entrance of the town harbor, explore its walls and towers, and the great scenery of the town, coastline, and sea.
  • Explore the ruins of the 3rd century BC Asklepieion, 4 km southwest of town, the ancient medical center complex, built on 4 terraces which include the remains of a medical school run by the famous Greek physician Hippocrates, Roman Baths, a Doric Temple, and more. The Asklepieion is positioned on a top of a hill providing beautiful landscapes of the town of Kos.
