Kata Beach is a 1.5 km long sandy beach, with clear turquoise water, and great swimming and surfing conditions, on a beautiful bay framed by forested headlands. The northern and southern ends of the beach are quieter than the busier center.
The beach is considered Phuket’s premier surf beach for beginners and intermediate surfers, offering all the required surfing services and surfing schools.
Kata Noi Beach is a beautiful and intimate 700 meters long beach, 5 minutes’ walk south of Kata Beach. Along the beach luxury resorts with fewer budget and mid-range options. The beach has a relaxed atmosphere with great swimming conditions, fewer vendors and water sports operators.
Kata town spreads inland with the area behind the beach is home to restaurants, bars, and all the required tourists’ facilities. Along the beach higher-end beachfront restaurants and beach bars. Nightlife activities availability is significantly less than Patong’s.
