• Kastania Cave

Formed in three million years, it is one of the most impressive caves in Greece and Europe, located 50 km south of Monemvasia, on the southern tip of the Peloponnese near the village of Kastania and the town of Neapoli. Along a 500 meters rout in two levels, the visitors will encounter Stalactites and Stalagmites of all shapes and in various colors attributed to crystalline carbonate lime enriched with metal oxides. “Mushrooms”, “birds”, Red and White “waterfalls”, gigantic columns, “curtains”, “elephants”, “exotic plants”, and many more beautiful structures are waiting for the overwhelmed visitors.
