• Hvammsvik Hot Springs

The site offers eight natural geothermal spring pools which vary in size and temperature, spread along the shoreline of Hvalfjordur fjord, 55 km northeast of Reykjavik.
Relax and absorb the natural surroundings’ landscapes of black beaches and mountains, while exploiting the site facilities and bistro.
While in the area you can also enjoy fishing, hiking, cycling, paddle-boarding, and more.
The site is a great place to admire the northern lights in the winter season.
You can combine your visit to the Hvammsvik Hot Springs with visits of other nearby attractions such as the Glymur waterfall, one of Iceland’s highest waterfall 18 km to the east, the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, 110 km to the north, and the Thingvellir National Park part of the Golden Circle, 40 km to the southeast.
Note that you would need to prebook your visit to the springs.
