• Haew Suwat Waterfall

Haew Suwat Waterfall is one of the most iconic natural landmarks in Thailand, which gained international recognition being the location of a dramatic scene in the year 2000 film The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The falls drop 25 meters in a single powerful curtain of water into a large pool surrounded by dense forest, a spectacular sight especially during and after the rainy season.
The waterfall is a 1.5 km walk from the nearest car park along a well-maintained trail through the rainforest. While walking the forest trail you will enjoy gibbons call from the canopy, hornbills pass overhead, and small wildlife frequently sighted on the path.
The nearby, 150 meters high, Haew Narok Waterfall, falling in three tiers down a limestone escarpment is equally dramatic but requires a longer hike.
