• Erawan National Park and Waterfalls

Erawan National Park lies 65 km north of Kanchanaburi town in a forested limestone mountain landscape of exceptional beauty. The park’s centerpiece is the seven-tiered cascade Erawan Waterfall. The lower cascades are easily accessible and have deep, clear emerald pools where swimming is encouraged. The warm, mineral-rich water filtered through limestone, and the jade-green color of the pools, make swimming here an experience of almost surreal beauty. The upper cascades which require more effort to reach via a moderate 1.5-2 hour hike from the park entrance, offer spectacular scenery.
Arrive early at the waterfall and begin your way down from the upper tires to the lower pools. The park entrance is 3 km from the small town of Tha Kradan, where accommodation is available.
