A picturesque small market town perched in the Cotswold northern fringes, known for its elegant High Street dated to the 14th – 17th centuries, lined with honey-colored limestone conserved buildings. The town is the end point of the Cotswold Way, a 160 km trail starting in Bath in the south.

The town is famous for being the home of the Arts and Crafts movement, and the annual Cotswold Olympic Games, a celebration of sports and games dating back to the early 17th century. Stroll around town and visit the 17th century Market Hall with its splendid arches and the 16th century wool church of St James with its medieval altar frontals.

Admire the vast and extravagant 17th century monuments, the Old Silk Mill and the Court Barn Museum displaying local Arts and Crafts traditions. There are two famous historic gardens located 5 km north of town, the Arts and Crafts Hidcote Manor Garden at the village of Hidcote Bartrim, and the Kiftsgate Court Gardens in the village of Mickleton, famous for its roses.
