• Chiddingstone Castle

An accredited museum within a 19th century Medieval style castle, in Chiddingstone, Kent, 56 km southeast of London, and 35 km southwest of Maidstone. The castle was purchased in 1955 by Denys Eyre Bower to display his collections. Visit a 19th century Victorian kitchen with many of its original features, a servants’ hall, and a servants’ bedroom.

But the highlight of the castle is its art collection including Japanese Artifacts, Terracotta clay figures, Swords and Armor, Ancient Egyptian artifacts, and a Buddhist collection of Tibetan Buddhist paintings. In the castle grounds informal gardens with beautiful scenery of the North Downs, large lawns, Rose Garden, an Ancient Egyptian Garden, woodland, and a fishing lake.
