• Checkpoint Charlie

The famous crossing point of the Berlin Wall between east and west Berlin, a symbol of the US-Soviet conflict during the cold war until 1989. The site is located in Friedrichstraße 43, Berlin. Few hundred meters west of the Checkpoint, explore a section of the wall that was preserved, and near the crossing point visit the ‘Checkpoint Charlie Museum’ (Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie). In the museum numerous displays and a collection of artifacts related to the history of the Berlin wall and the specific attempts to escape the communist rule.
