• Caen Castle

Chateau de Caen is a 12th century Medieval castle built by William the Conqueror in the center of the town of Caen. The castle which was severely damaged in WWII overlooks the town with its 15th century massive fortification walls, stone towers, gates, and drawbridge, offering beautiful scenery of the town and its surroundings. On the castle grounds are the Museum of Normandy, the Caen Fine Arts Museum, Saint George’s church, a vast park with green lawns, and more.
