• Avebury

A Neolithic monument of three stone circles, near the village of Avebury, 6 km east of Cherhill White Horse, and 22 km east of Lacock. It is one of the best-known prehistoric sites in Britain.

The site is assumed to be used for cultural rituals or ceremony, contains the largest megalithic stone circle in the world. Constructed in the Third Millennium BC, the monument comprises a large outer stone circle and two separate smaller stone circles inside the center of the monument.
