• Aragonese Castle

A highly popular fortress built in 474 BC on a rocky islet near the Ischia northeastern coast, connected to the island with a stone bridge. The entrance to the castle is via a lift or a series of paths, and luxurious gardens. Inside you can visit the Church of the Immacolata, the ruins of the Cathedral of Assunta, Chiesa di San Pietro, and sombre Carcere Borbonico once a prison. Also in the castle a small Museum of Torture home to a collection of Medieval torture instruments and impressive Armor and Weaponry. Enjoy the landscapes from the Olive tree terrace and relax in one of the beautiful terrace cafes.
