• Anglesey Abbey

A Jacobean-style country house with beautiful gardens, landscaped grounds, and a working mill, in the village of Lode 9 km northeast of Cambridge. The highly popular tourist attraction was restored and landscaped by Lord Fairhaven who lived in the house in the mid-20th century.

In the house various rooms open to the public presenting eclectic collection of Italian Renaissance, Chippendale furniture, and an extensive collection of paintings mainly by British painters from the 19th and 20th century. Enjoy also Marble artworks, Wood and Bronze sculptures, marvelous collection of clocks, tapestries, and other various artifacts. The Anglesey Abbey gardens are considered one of the most beautiful in the UK.

In the gardens tree lined avenues, formal gardens, semi-circular herbaceous garden, Rose and Narcissus Garden, pools, and an impressive collection of classical statuary scattered around. In the northwestern part of the gardens enjoy the old Lode Mill restored to working order.
