Spreads west of Strazbourg along 120 km from north to south, between Thann and Marlenheim, the Route follows through picturesque Medieval villages, numerous castles, more than 300 wineries, and magnificent rural landscapes.

Spend 1-2 days following the Wine Route. Visit the beautiful Alsatian Medieval villages with their narrow cobbled streets and half timbered historic buildings such as Colmar with its beautiful “little Venice” old town district and the charming Toy Museum, Eguishem, and Riquewihr considered one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Traveling in the area visit the castles surrounding Strasburg Including;

  • The highly popular 12th century Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle located on a 800 meters high ridge.
  • The 18th century Chateau des Rohan home to a museum and a cultural center.
  • Haut-Barr Castle built on 3 rocks connected by the Devil’s Bridge, and others.
  • Another beautiful attraction in the region is the Sanctuary of Mont Sainte-Odile offering great landscapes and the Chateau du Nideck and its 25 meters high waterfall.
