  • Fuerteventura is the second biggest island of the archipelago and one of the least populated.
The Island’s main attractions are the beautiful long stretched golden beaches with massive sand dunes and turquoise clear water, offering an isolated and tranquil atmosphere.
The islands’ inland is mainly black volcanic mountains with Brown and Red ridges covered with very low vegetation, offering overwhelming scenery of desert like landscapes.
Both the inland and the east coast are scarcely dotted with areas offering tourist facilities and traditional small villages. The west side on the other hand is almost deserted. The strong winds and pleasant climate make the island a highly popular destination for wave surfing.
If you are planning to spend your summer vacation in Fuerteventura, spend at least one day visiting its attractions, and additional day for a visit of one of the smaller islands: La Palma, La Gomera or El Hierro.
