A 175 km long Mediterranean coastline on the eastern coast of Andalusia, one of the most popular European summer vacation destinations. The coastline is known for its 300 days of sunshine and beautiful blue flag sandy beaches with great facilities.

With its capital in Malaga, Costa del Sol stretches between Nerja 60 km east of Malaga, and Sotogrande 115 km southwest of Malaga near Gibraltar.

There are quit few beautiful towns, villages, and beach resorts along the Costa del Sol coastline.

The major vacation resorts are:

  • Nerja east of Malaga
  • South and southwest of Malaga, from Torremolinos near Malaga, through to Benalmadena home to numerous theme parks, Fuengirola popular with families, the luxuries Marbella, and Estepona in the south.
