• Ecija

A town in the Andalusian countryside, 85 km east of Seville, and 55 km southwest of Cordoba. Stroll the old town streets and admire the elegant squares and the marvelous architectural monuments, such as the impressive Palace of Justice and the Mudejar-style Casa de las Tomasas.
Ecija has more than twenty churches and convents, each with its tower or spires, hence the town name, the “Town of Towers”, and the symbolic skyline. Visit the 13th century Church of Santa Cruz, and the 15th century Church of San Gil, both converted from mosques to churches, and the beautiful 16th century Los Palmos Palace, and its tranquil courtyard.
Consider refreshing yourself experiencing Kayaking or Rafting on the Genil river as it passes through town. The town is also famous for its horse herds which have produced some of the best Spanish thoroughbred horses – Moorish and Anglo-Moorish.
