• Grasse

The world perfume capital and a very traditional Provencal market town, 42 km west of Nice and 18 km North of Cannes, in the hills above the French Riviera. The three major perfume manufacturers, Fragonard, Molinard and Galimard, offer free tours of their perfume production line, including possible participation in the complete process from flower picking to bottling.
Visit also the Fragonard Museum and the International Perfume Museum, both exhibiting 5,000 years of perfume making history. The Provence history Museum, Musee d’Art et d’Histoire de Provence, located in an 18th century mansion, presents the life at that period including beautiful art collection and charming gardens.
Visit the beautiful 11th century Notre Dame du Puy Cathedral to especially enjoy three of Rubens paintings. Be sure to admire the vast fields of jasmine and roses surrounding Grasse, and to visit Domaine de Manon, a Roses and Jasmine flower farm in the village of Plascassier 7 km southeast of Grasse, where in the spring you will enjoy the Roses blossom, and in September-October the Jasmin blossom.
