• Jumieges Abbey

Abbaye de Jumieges is a 7th century abbey in the village of Jumieges on the Seine River, 29 km west of Rouen. On site admire the 19th century “must-see” impressive ruins and stroll the grassy paths within the original structure, exploring the facade and high towers, the walls of the abbey church, and the Church of Saint-Pierre. While visiting the abbey stroll along the river and the cobbled alleys of the picturesque village, with its timbered houses, restaurants, and bars. Near the village you can spend some leisure time in the nearby lake, Base de loisir de Jumieges Le Mesnil, which offers water sports facilities and leisure activities. In July enjoy the local Viking Festival’s activities and displays.
