• Chaweng Beach

Chaweng Beach is a 7 km beautiful sandy beach with calm water, along the islands east coast, backed along the Chaweng Beach Road by a strip of hotels, restaurants, bars, and nightlife venues forming the island’s most vibrant, busiest and most commercial strip. The beach is suitable for swimming, offering water sports facilities including jet skis, parasailing, and more. The beach and its commercial surroundings appeal to tourists who want maximum choice in accommodation options, dining and nightlife, and all the required services and infrastructure. Authentic Thai character has been completely lost by the international tourism infrastructure.
Northern Chaweng toward Chaweng Noi is slightly quieter than the beach central section, with more upscale resorts, less crowds, and more sophisticated vibes.
The beach nightlife venues concentrate on Chaweng’s central section, in Soi Green Mango, the Chaweng pedestrian street where Samui’s highest density of bars, clubs, and entertainment, are active from sunset through dawn. Enjoy nightclubs, sports bars, beach bars, and go-go bars, resulting festive and vibrant atmosphere.
The Dining venues offers every Thai and international cuisine possible. The beach road restaurants with prime locations often deliver low quality at high prices, while slightly inland better restaurants are available.
Shopping options in the area are countless including the Central Festival Samui Mall, the Chaweng Night Market offering clothes, handicrafts, and street food, and numerous beach boutiques, souvenir shops, and more. Note that Chaweng is Samui’s most expensive area.
