Koh Panyee is a Muslim fishing village built entirely on stilts in the bay waters. In the village 2,000 residents living in wooden houses/sheds with schools, a mosque, shops, and restaurants all built on platforms above the sea. Visiting the interesting and photogenic village, you will observe the fascinating and authentic community and the traditional lifestyle. The images of stilted village against limestone backdrops, boats moored beneath houses, and children playing on walkways above the sea, will remain with you for a long time.
