One of the world’s largest weekend markets, Chatuchak Market occupies a vast area near Mo Chit BTS station in northern Bangkok and is opened every Saturday and Sunday. With over 15,000 stalls organized into 27 sections spread across 35 acres, Chatuchak is an overwhelming retail experience covering everything from antiques, art, and vintage clothing to live plants, pets, handmade crafts, street food, and contemporary fashion.
First-time visitors, should arrive before 10am to beat the heat and large crowds, and plan at least 3-4 hours to explore at a relaxed pace. Food stalls are scattered around offering excellent cheap Thai food, fresh juices and iced coffee.
