• The Giant Swing

Sao Ching-Cha, the 21 meters high golden teak Giant Swing, is one of Bangkok’s most distinctive landmarks, standing in the square in front of Wat Suthat, one of Bangkok’s most beautiful and underrated temples. The temple is home to one of Bangkok’s finest Buddha statues, the 8 meters high Phra Sri Sakyamuni. Also to be admired are the temple’s walls covered with superb Rattanakosin-period murals depicting scenes from the Jataka tales, and the outer cloister home to more than 150 Buddha statues.
