• Arco de Sao Jorge Village

A small coastal village 11 km northwest of the town of Santana. On the winding road above the village enjoy the landscapes of the village, the sea and the forested mountains from the Miradouro da Beira da Quinta viewpoint.
Above the village consider hiking the easy PR18 Levada do Rei trail where you will enjoy the forest, the streams and the Cascata Levada do Rei waterfalls.
In the village, visit Roseiral da Quinta do Arco de Sao Jorge, one of the five most famous rose gardens in Europe and one of the largest in the world, presenting more than 1,500 species of Roses.
The garden is part of a tourist complex called the Pestana Quinta do Arco Nature & Rose Garden Hotel.
Near the Ros Garden a very small museum, Museum of Wine and Vineyards presenting the production processes and tools involved in the local wine production.
