Loule is a charming market town presenting an authentic traditional Portuguese environment in contrast to the Beach Resorts hectic ambiance found in the other towns of Algarve Region. Loule is 15 km northeast of the modern and luxuries Vilamoura resort town.
In the town center a bustling, daily, covered market housed within an impressive north African style building home to numerous food produce and handicrafts stalls. The market is closed on Sundays. Surrounding the market are beautiful cobbled narrow streets, traditional houses and small squares. On Saturdays a large Gypsy Market is held on the western edge of town together with a large farmers market held in the streets surrounding the covered market.
A Day tour to Loule on a Saturday is highly recommend to feel and experience traditional Portuguese Atmosphere.
