• The Village of Lefkes

A charming Medieval village on the slopes of Mount Agios Pantes, the island’s highest mountain, considered one of the island’s most beautiful villages.
Enjoy the beautiful squares, the narrow alleys with the whitewashed houses, and the blue doors and pink Bougainvillea. Stroll to explore the small shops and stalls offering excellent handmade local pottery, jewelry, and other handmade crafts, and visit the impressive Church of Agia Triada with its two bell towers. While visiting the village enjoy the views of the island, the coastline and the nearby Naxos Island.
Enjoy many beautiful hiking trails in the mountain including the famous paved Byzantine one hour trail, connecting Lefkes to Prodromos through the mountain slopes and rural terraces. From Prdroomos you can continue for another hour to the village of Marpissa and on to the Monastery of Agios Antonios on the top of the hill, overlooking the coastline and Piso Levadi fishing village.
Note that this 7 km route is not circular and you will have to find a solution returning to your start point.
