• The Corinth Canal

A canal connecting the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea, separating the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland. Traveling from Athens to the Peloponnese, the 1st stop will be the Corinth Canal. The late 19th century canal is 6.4 km long and 21 meters wide with 80 meters high cliffs. Many modern ships cannot pass the canal which is mostly used by smaller recreational boats. Starting your Peloponnese experience, you can Bungee jump from the top of the canal cliffs.
