Villingen-Schwenningen is a charming small town in the Black Forest, 25 km east of Triberg, presenting two towns a few km’s apart. Villingen with its Medieval walls and 13th century gates on  the Brigach river, and the more recent town of Schwenningen considered one of Europe’s top clock manufacturer towns with the Neckar River source in the town’s park, and the unique moorland landscape.
In villingen’s old town visit the Cathedral Square and the Gothic Cathedral with its 15th century, 50 meters high towers. Explore the seven Millennium history of the town and Black Forest region in the old Franciscan monastery museum, and enjoy the great views from the unique, Wanne Mountain, 30 meters high Observation Iron Tower.
