• The Topography of Terror

The Gestapo Museum is an outdoor and indoor history museum located on the site of buildings used during the Nazi regime as the headquarters of the Nazi’s SS and Gestapo during WWII. The cellar of the Gestapo headquarters, where many political prisoners were tortured and executed, is part of the site and it includes a long section of the outer Berlin Wall. The “Topography of Terror” permanent exhibition focus on the SS and Gestapo in the “Third Reich” and their crimes committed throughout Europe.
The exhibition which includes documents, photographs, audio, and film highlights the horrible actions and crimes committed under the Nazi regime. The site tour provides an overview of the site’s roll during the Nazi period and the postwar era. Many people visit the museum in spite its stressing affect and the severe “unease” while facing the atrocities of the Nazi regime. https://www.topographie.de/en/topography-of-terror/
