• Hljodaklettar

The ‘echo rocks’ in the Jokulsargljufur Canyon is a collection of numerous unique basalt formations of columns and arched caves known to create peculiar echoes. Among the rock formations you will explore ‘The Kastili’, ‘The Castle’, ‘The Troll’, ‘The Kirkjan’, ‘The Church’ and many others. There are two marked hiking trails starting at the parking lot, a 1 km easy stroll to the rock formations cluster, and a circular difficult level trail that takes ~2 hours.
The Hljodaklettar are 17 km south of Asbyrgi Canyon.
