• Rjukandi Fall

The overwhelming and misty Rjukandi Fall fed by the Ysta-Rjukandi River, is a series of waterfalls that vary in height, right off the Ring Road between Egilsstadir and Myvatn Lake.
The highest waterfall of the series is the 93 meters high Rjukandafoss Fall. In addition, the structure of the Rjukandi cliff divides the falling water to a 60 meters high waterfall and another 33 meters high waterfall, both joining together at the bottom of the cliff.
On the Ring Road, 50 km west of Egilsstadir near the Ysta-Rjukandi bridge, take an easy 500 meters trail from the parking area to the Rjukandi Fall.
