• Schwaz Silver Mine

Schwazer Silberbergwerk was an important silver mining center during the 15th and 16th centuries providing income generated from the silver mining to the banking sector and the Austrian emperors. The mining center is in the lower Inn Valley, 30 km  east of Innsbruck in Tyrol, Austria.
A visit to the Silver and Copper Mine is an underground adventure as well as an historic learning experience. Ride onboard a miniature train for 800 meters and 90 minutes into the mine for a fascinating visual experience accompanied with light and sound effects.
While in Schwaz visit the modern Planetarium and the charming Hausstehtkopf, the upside down house in Stublerfeld 1, Terfens, where everything inside, furniture and accessories, are upside down creating an odd experience.
