• Alanya Castle

A 13th century Seljuq castle, considered an open-air museum, located on a 250 meters high rock above the peninsula. The castle is surrounded by a 6.5 km long walls to walked on, and inside, beautiful historical streets to explore, a Byzantine Church converted to a mosque, and numerous well preserved 19th century Ottoman villas.
While in the castle enjoy the incredible scenery of the peninsula and the Taurus Mountains, craftsmen workshops, souvenir shops, and restaurants. To reach the castle, use the cable car (teleferic) that travels uphill from the Mediterranean coast, or a public bus from the city center.
