• Edinburgh Castle

An historic castle positioned on the castle rock and dominating the city skyline, it’s the symbol of Edinburgh and Scotland and a highly popular must-see tourist attraction. With parts dated to the 12th century and earlier, enjoy the various attractions within the castle. Visit the Royal Palace, the National War Museum of Scotland, and the National War Memorial.
In the Royal Palace, the 15th century residence of the Stewart monarchs, explore the royal apartments, the King’s Dining Room, and Mary Queen of Scots Room. On the first floor visit the vaulted Crown Room, home to the Honors of Scotland and the 16th century Great Hall used as the major state assembly in the castle.
The National War Museum of Scotland covers Scotland’s military history over the past 400 years with wide range of military artefacts displays. The siege gun, a 15th century cannon known as Mons Meg, and some of its large gun stones, are displayed on a terrace in front of St. Margaret’s Chapel.
