• Rydal Mount House and Gardens

A 16th century house, between Ambleside and Grasmere, in the small village of Rydal on the eastern tip of Rydal Water Lake. The house is known for being the home of the poet William Wordsworth from 1813 to 1850. The house’s beautiful garden still as designed by the poet, has beautiful scenery to the nearby Rydal Water, Windermere, and the surrounding hills.

In the house portraits, personal possessions and first editions of William Wordsworth work.
