Home to iconic locomotives and an unrivalled collection of engineering achievements related to the railways. The museum has on display the story of rail transport in Britain and its impact on society, and is home to significant railway locomotives.
Part of the collection are the Mallard, Stirling Single, Duchess of Hamilton and the Japanese bullet train. With more than 6000 objects on display, the collection also includes fine jewelry worn by railway queens, models of planes, boats, and hovercrafts.
