  • Famous for the iconic White Cliffs of Dover on its coastline, Dover is the European gateway to England through the English Canal, 125 km southeast of London and 27 km southeast of Canterbury, Kent. Visit Dover Castle, the largest in England, and the Wartime Tunnels dug into the White Cliffs, and to appreciate the White Cliffs beauty and the channel landscapes take a dramatic cliff-top walks. You can also view the cliffs from St Margaret’s Bay, from Dover Harbor or from the Shakespeare Beach west of the Harbor.

    Explore Walmer Castle, the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, in Walmer, 13 km north of Dover. Enjoy the three nearby coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, 30-35 km north of Dover, home to some of the best seaside resorts, and sandy beaches in England. These towns with their 15 sandy beaches and bays, and sea-carved chalk cliffs, are great for both relaxation, fun, water sports, hiking and more.

    Cycle or hike between the towns enjoying the coastline scenery and enjoy the world-class golf courses. Stroll around the beautiful towns and harbors, visiting the art galleries and small shops, or just lie down in one of the sandy beaches.

    visit Folkestone and its cobbled Creative Quarter, 10 km southwest of Dover, and explore the art studios, the galleries, and the small shops, while enjoying the artistic and Bohemian vibes. Traveling 8 km south to Hythe you can take the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch 90 years old steam-powered miniature Railway, offering a 20 km scenic trip from Hythe, through New Romney, to Dungeness. East of Hythe, visit the Port Lympne Safari Park presenting more than 100 wild animals.
