Traveling Greece up to 340 km southwest of Thessaloniki or the same northwest of Athens, you will enjoy a great trip combining the highly interesting Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia, considered one of the best archaeological museums in Greece, with the Meteora Monasteries, the striking and overwhelming 400 meters high rock pillars and monasteries on cliffs top.

Further west you will visit the Zagori Region and south to the Tzoumerka Region, both home to authentic stone built villages and numerous monasteries and churches, within an area of impressive natural beauty, mountain peaks, valleys and forests, waterfalls, canyons, rivers and streams.

Best visited in the months of May through to September, spend 5-8 days traveling through the various regions and attractions.
