The magnificent architecture, the fascinating museums, the mix of ancient and modern with delightful gardens and courtyards, all together results a great tranquil atmosphere and a highly recommended place to visit for a short half day or more.<\/p>\n<p>To appreciate the beauty of the city, its skyline and its surroundings, enjoy the great landscapes and views from the top of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> century Carfax Tower, from the University Church of St Mary the Virgin 13<sup>th<\/sup> century tower, or from the Norman Tower at the North Gate of St Michael&#8217;s Church.<\/p>\n<p>Oxford\u2019s impressive and fabulous architectural gems and locations have been used in quit few films and TV series.
