The church has suffered several earthquakes, but it&#8217;s remains are impressive including the San Marciano\u2019s Crypt and the San Giovanni\u2019s Catacombs.<br \/>\nEntering through the church floor, the 4<sup>th<\/sup> to 6<sup>th<\/sup> centuries active Catacombs are arranged in an underground array of tunnels with burial chambers carved into the limestone rocks.
