Continue Iceland\u2019s circular trip from Hofn, traveling northeast through the eastern fiords, to enjoy small fishing villages, spectacular fiords and sweeping landscapes, before continuing west to Myvatn Lake and Akureyri.
\nThe 350 km road from Hofn to Lac Myvatn<\/a>,<\/strong> with short stops on the way, will take at least 1 day of long driving.<\/p>\n

There are few attractions on the way of which we would recommend a visit including L'\u00eele de Papey<\/strong><\/a> for Puffins watching, the charming village of Seyoisfjorour<\/a>, <\/strong>for the magnificent landscapes on the way and those of the village surroundings, and the Namaskaro Pass<\/strong><\/a> fascinating Geothermal field of many hot springs and fumaroles on the Ring Road, 5 km east of Lake Myvatn.<\/p>\n

A visit of the Hengifoss Fall<\/strong><\/a> is also worthwhile if you feel that you did not see enough waterfalls, but the 3-4 hours visit and detour will make it hard to conclude the route in one day.
