There are in the center various extraordinary 14<sup>e<\/sup>-15<sup>e<\/sup> centuries frescoes by masters such as Lorenzo di Pietro, Domenico di Bartolo, Simone Martini, Ambrogio and Pietro Lorenzetti. Part of the center is the National Archaeological Museum with items from the Etruscan and Roman eras through to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period.<br \/>\nPart of the Medieval exhibition are Jacopo della Quercia&#8217;s original 15<sup>e<\/sup> century sculptures, and in the Old Chapel at the entrance, Bartolo&#8217;s Madonna della misericordia of the 15<sup>e<\/sup> century.
