A nice and pleasant town 20 km south of Stresa<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The town has a nice promenade along the lake where you can enjoy the lake’s views and Rocca Angera on the other side.<\/p>\n

More in town, the huge 17e<\/sup> century 23 meters high statue of Cardinal San Carlo Borromeo, a small rocky beach close to Piazza del Popolo, and the ruins of a 9e<\/sup> century castle.<\/p>\n

Visit the large park area, Lagoni di Mercurago Natural Park in the hills outside the town, where you will enjoy few small lakes, animals, birds, and few pastures recommended for hiking and mountain biking.<\/p>\n\n
