The oldest and largest temple complex in Bangkok was built in the 16<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle<br \/>\nand is famous for its colossal, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, reclining gilded Buddha. The Wat Pho is a vast complex of courtyards, gardens, large assembly halls, more than 1,000 Buddha statues of every size and style, and more than 90 stupas.
