A picturesque fishing town and a highly popular beach resort in the Setubal Bay, 40 km south of Lisbon, at the foothills of the Serra da Arrabida Mountain Range and near the Arrabida Natural Park. <\/strong>The town is a highly popular summer destination for its beautiful beaches, the traditional fish restaurants, and the close by Arrabida National Park with its numerous hiking trails and magnificent scenery.<\/p>\n

  1. Spend your days in Sesimbra Region beaches which are famous for being some of Portugal’s finest.<\/li>\n
  2. Stroll Sesimbra streets, walk along the beachfront promenade, enjoy the magnificent murals and street art, and at night, celebrate in one of many traditional sea food restaurants and bars.<\/li>\n
  3. Visit the 12th century Medieval Moorish castle <\/strong>positioned on a cliff, <\/strong>Castelo de Sesimbra, which was restored in the 18th century, and admire the magnificent landscapes of the town and sea. Visit the nearby 18th century Nossa Senhora do Castelo <\/strong>church with its tiles covered walls. Consider that its an half an hour uphill walk to the castle from the town center.<\/li>\n
  4. Take a Dolphins watching boat cruise from Sesimbra or Setubal to enjoy the site of Dolphins playing in the sea.<\/li>\n
