The Santuario de Fatima, formally the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, is a Marian sanctuary and a major Catholic pilgrimage site, built in the early 20th century. The sanctuary is in the city of Fatima, 125 km north of Lisbon.
\nThe highly popular pilgrimage site, visited by Millions of visitors each year, was built following the Virgin Mary appearance to three shepherd children. Part of the sanctuary are the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, one of the largest Catholic Churches in the world, the Baroque Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, and the Chapel of the Apparitions.
