The Museu Nacional do Azulejo, within a magnificent 16th century convent, is home to a vast collection of marvellous colourful ceramic tiles. The tile panels on display are from the Moorish period, the 15th century Renaissance, and the baroque period. Some of the tiles are displayed separately, others are part of large murals dissipating various events.
