Nearby explore the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> century BC restored Roman Odeon amphitheater, which could hold 750 people and is still active for concerts, and the Casa Romana, a beautiful 2<sup>nd<\/sup> century, 36 rooms restored villa, including beautiful atrium, impressive columns, statues, frescoes, and a display of various vessels, artifacts and coins.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the Medieval Nerantzia castle built by the Knights of Saint John in the 14<sup>e<\/sup> century, at the entrance of the town harbor, explore its walls and towers, and the great scenery of the town, coastline, and sea.<\/li>\n<li>Explore the ruins of the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> century BC <strong>Asklepieion<\/strong>, 4 km southwest of town, the ancient medical center complex, built on 4 terraces which include the remains of a medical school run by the famous Greek physician Hippocrates, Roman Baths, a Doric Temple, and more.
